This book uses unusual cases to present different doctrines of Criminal Law. My professor has admitted on numerous occasions that she would not have selected the same case as the one in the book.
There is very little information other than the cases themselves, which is not useful when you are trying to take away a general rule and the only substance on the rule you have is a case from an appellate court in Oregon.
If I had a choice as to what Criminal Law book to use for class, this would definitely be near the bottom of the list. I don’t recommend buying it unless it is required for your class.

This might be the worst book that has ever been written about criminal law. If MY teacher wrote this book, I would go to class and and commit a depraved heart crime against them.
If you are forced to use this book in class, SORRY. If you are getting this book for reading otherwise, dont bother.
