I was offered a job once where I would simply have to accompany small groups of upscale travelers all over the world. And they want smart and aware, not hulk hogan.
Military and Fed is pretty much it. But in anything even vaguely related to law enforcement military experience puts you at the top of the list. Personally I would do military first to get that under my belt and make myself more eligible to get into many more things later. Some agencies require certain prior experience but will waive that if exmilitary. The NGOs (non govermental agencies) will prefer ex military as well. And there are headhunters that specialize in exmilitary……. and the range of jobs they have access to is vast.
Plus later you will be set education benefit wise if you chose later to get an advanced degree. During your time in you would be able to make some contacts or explore later options. There are jobs ot there that you never would have thought of.
