A person I know asked her boyfriend to run a criminal background check on me.
Her boyfriend’s father happens to be the Attorney General in the state I reside in. Was this action legal? Even if it was, I’d like to know my rights regarding this matter. Thanks!

Anybody can able to do a background check on you. As a matter of fact, there are lots of existing background criminal record websites available online. If you think it is illegal to conduct a background check to a person without his consent then, why is it online background check is not prohibited?
